This weekend I made my first-ever foray to a Renaissance Faire! The St. Louis Renaissance Festival is quite a hike from St. Louis city proper (an hour drive out to the site in Wentzville, MO) but the overall experience is worth the trip. I was mostly there to see Judas & Magnolia and Thousand Faces Cosplay perform, but I ended up being enchanted by all of the actors, performances, musical groups and the many sights to see.
I spent about four hours at the faire and could have spent four more without seeing it all. Next weekend is the final weekend of the show, so if you haven’t yet made it out, I’d recommend it. I may head back out that way myself, just to get all the photos I didn’t get the first time!
Note: parking at the faire location requires traversing open fields, then once inside the gates you will be navigating hilly, gravel-covered paths, and watching out for tree roots and uneven ground. While it’s not inaccessible, those with mobility issues should be aware of the sometimes-difficult terrain.
